Patton RK LLC operates the Patton Learning Center service and brand (“PLC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). PLC provides tutoring services and an online portal for students and their families. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to parents, guardians, students, and website visitors.
Information we collect
Account and sign-in information
When you create or use a portal account, we receive account information such as your name, email address, account identifier, and, if provided by your sign-in provider, profile image. If you choose Google sign-in, we use the basic Google account information authorized by you—such as your name, email address, profile information, and Google account identifier—only to authenticate you, maintain your session, associate you with the correct PLC account, and provide portal access. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail messages, contacts, calendar, or Google password.
Registration and family information
Registration and administration records may include student name, age, grade, subject, home address, parent or guardian names, email addresses and phone numbers, emergency-contact information, allergies, enrollment details, class assignments, and payment identifiers supplied by the family.
Educational information
We maintain information needed to provide tutoring, including attendance, assignments, homework submissions and images, teacher feedback, grades, progress notes, lesson information, and communications related to educational services.
Payment information
We maintain tuition charges, balances, credits, transaction status, payment references, and limited payment-method details needed for accounting and support. Card and bank-account credentials submitted through Stripe are processed by Stripe; PLC does not store complete card or bank-account numbers.
Website and communications information
We collect information you submit through contact forms and communications with us. We may also process limited technical and usage information to operate, secure, and improve our services and prevent abuse.
How we use information
- Provide tutoring, registration review, class administration, and family portal features.
- Authenticate users and connect them with the correct family or administrative account.
- Track attendance, homework, grades, progress, tuition, payments, credits, and account balances.
- Communicate about registration, classes, assignments, payments, support requests, and service updates.
- Protect the service, investigate errors, prevent duplicate or unauthorized activity, and comply with legal obligations.
- Improve the reliability and usefulness of PLC services.
AI assistance
PLC instructors may use AI-assisted tools to support their work. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and approved by an instructor before it is shared with students or families.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate PLC, provide requested services, protect users, or comply with law. We use service providers that support functions such as authentication, hosting, data storage, payments, email delivery, and instructional tools. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the safety and rights of students or others, investigate fraud or security incidents, or respond to valid legal requests.
Children and student information
PLC provides services to children, but registration and account setup are intended to be completed or authorized by a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians should provide only information relevant to tutoring, safety, registration, and account administration. If you believe a child's information was submitted without appropriate parent or guardian authorization, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, remove it.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, administer accounts, maintain educational and payment records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Retention periods may vary by record type. We may retain limited records after an account closes when required for these purposes.
Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including authenticated access and role- or family-based data controls. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask us to review, correct, or delete personal information associated with you or your child, subject to legal, educational, accounting, and operational retention requirements. You may stop using Google sign-in by revoking PLC's access through your Google Account permissions; you may still need to contact us regarding removal of the corresponding PLC account or records.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date.
